Program

In her projects, the director Apolena Vanišová focuses on visual language and its symbolism. She does not look for drama in the situation, but in the arrangement and layering of scenic images and stage actions. She works with different types of installations, which she folds, decomposes and transforms during the action. She works with the material in its physical, meaning and metaphorical level. In collaboration with the visual artist Johana Střížková, she explores the theatrical possibilities of electro-mechanical object performances and autonomous theatrical installations.
