Don't shoot the Lord God in the windows or you will end up like Ludvík Mysliveček. He returns home from a hunt late in a boisterous mood to find a strange visitor at the kitchen table. It's his guardian angel, who has been shot in the wing by his protégé and who decides to break all the angel's rules. He makes himself visible to his protégé and refuses to leave him until cured. So the trouble begins for Ludvík Mysliveček. He doesn't know what to do, so he consults the vet and the priest.
