Program

The plenary production of Kamila Mottlova's solo project deals with the Japanese phenomenon of "hikikomori" (breaking away). According to the Japanese psychologist Tamaki Saïto, a hikikomori is a person who voluntarily decides to close himself off from society. They isolate themselves at home and refuse any physical contact with the outside world for up to several years. How long will it be before we too reach the point where solitude is the only way not to commit seppuku*? *seppuku = ritual suicide of the Japanese samurai
